Director of Coaching Matt Risley left for Scotland on February 24th to attend (with over 50 football coaches from around the world) Celtic’s renowned Youth Academy for three days packed full of behind-the-scenes access to the club’s training methods.
The visitors, many of whom are from Celtic’s International Club Partnership Programme, will gain invaluable insight into the club’s coaching philosophy, techniques and structure which has produced talented footballers such as James Forrest, Liam Henderson, Callum McGregor, Aiden McGeady and Shaun Maloney.
