Seminole High School and Celtic FC Florida midfielder Shane Butler will sign with Flagler College on national signing day, Feb. 5, according to Seminole Coach Rick Masi. Butler also had an offer from the University of Tampa. He will join former Seminole teammate and Celtic FC Florida alum Tyler Zulewski at Flagler.
At Celtic FC Florida he plays for Coach Andy Rafferty on the U18 Boys team after playing up in age the previous 2 seasons under Coach Ian Matthews. Butler has been a major part of Seminole’s High School team for four seasons. This season for Seminole, he has 21 goals and seven assists in 19 games played. Last season, Butler was a Times First Team All County selection after scoring 17 goals and adding 10 assists.
Also signing is Katrina Eliott – goalie who plays on the Celtic U18 Girls team coached by Peter Ward. Katrina will be attending USF!
