Celtic FC Florida holds three (3) different recreation programs throughout the year. The sessions are held in the Fall, Winter and Spring seasons. The Celtic FC Florida Achieva Recreation League is a co-ed, instructional soccer league for recreational players 4-12 years old. The Spring League is less formal and emphasizes small-sided games with smaller fields and goals…great for having fun and honing in those skills! The season runs from April thru May and games are played at both of our field locations. Official team rosters and schedules will be released once registrations are received; however, most teams have games twice per week with no additional practices and nothing over the weekends.

How do I register for rec soccer?
Registration will open in early August and you can register online through a link which will be on our website or at one of our live registration dates at Belleair Rec Center, or Beef O’Brady’s Walsingham.
How much does it cost to register?
Between $110-$215 depending on the age group and payment plan.
When are the practices and games?
The practices are typically twice a week, and will be on any weekday Monday – Thursday. U6 games will be twice a week, typically one week night and Saturday mornings. All other age group games will be on Saturdays.
Where are the practices and games played?
U6 games will be shared between our SJWAA and Belleair Rec Center Locations.
When you register, you will be asked for a field preference request. Please note that we cannot guarantee this request, but will try to do so depending on the number of players that register in each age group. The second factor that affects the location for where a team practices and plays is the preference of the Coach. Without the coaches, we have no teams. So we try to give final preference to them.
In past years, we have had U6, U8, and U10 teams at both field locations. But our U12 and older ages have played only at the Seminole fields. This will likely be the case again this year. But as noted above, we cannot make final assignments until we finalize registration and assign coaches to teams.
Within any given age group, if we do have teams at both Seminole and Belleair, there will obviously be travel between the two facilities for games. The amount of travel will be proportional to the number of teams from each field location.
What equipment will my child need?
Soccer ball (U6/U8 size 3, U10/U12 size 4, U14+ size 5)
Cleats, shin guards, and a water bottle
What age group will my child play this season?
The age groups are U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U19. The “U” stands for “under”. For example, 6 and 7 year olds play in the U8 division. However, your child’s “league age” is not the same as his/her current age. The “league age” is how old the child was before August 1st of last year. Your child’s age group fills in automatically when you register online.
Can my child play on the same team as a family member, friend, or coach?
During the online registration, there is a place to make a note or request. We try to grant all playing requests. But we cannot guarantee any requests.
While we acknowledge the need to play with familiar friends and/or coaches, we also place a high priority on trying to create team parity, thru the Group Evaluations. Therefore, it is very important to attend the group evaluation sessions, where we rate the players’ abilities, and use those ratings, in conjunction with any requests and coaching volunteers, to form the teams.
The Club reserves the right to re-distribute players, as needed to maximize team parity.
